According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 9:04 am at a depth of 10 kilometres. The coordinates shared by NCS placed the epicentre at 28.63°N latitude and 76.68°E longitude.
Residents in Delhi-NCR reported strong tremors, with many stepping out of their homes and offices as a precaution. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

This is not the first seismic event in the region this year. On February 17, a 4.0 magnitude quake hit the Delhi-NCR area at a depth of 5 km. That quake struck at 5:36 am and was also widely felt across the capital and neighbouring cities.
Authorities have advised residents to remain calm and follow safety protocols.
