Earthquake today: 3.1 magnitude quake strikes Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal

National Center for Seismology today reported that an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 struck at Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, at a depth of 5 km at 4:01 pm. There have been no reports of any injuries, loss of life or damage to property.

Last year in November, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake had struck Tehri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. The quake occurred at 5.13am with a depth of 28 kilometre. The epicentre of the earthquake was located 39km east of Uttarkashi.
