New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is scheduled to make a statement in the Lok Sabha on the recent developments regarding India-China relations on Monday, in the ongoing Parliament session.

The briefing will focus on the recent agreement between India and China on military disengagement along the Line of Actual Control. But it is expected that the Opposition would again raise the issue of discussion on allegations against the Adani Group, and the violence in Manipur and Sambhal.

Since the start of the winter session on December 25, several Opposition members have been giving adjournment notices, demanding discussion on recent allegations of fraud against Gautam Adani by the US Department of Justice. SP members have been demanding a discussion on violence in UP's Sambhal.

Important draft legislations, including Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill 2024, Coastal Shipping Bill, 2024, and Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2024, are also listed in the Lok Sabha for Monday. In Rajya Sabha, the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Amendment Bill, 2024, and the Bharatiya Vayuyan Vidheyak, 2024, are listed for consideration and passing.
