A Dubai-based devotee on Friday made an offering of Rs one crore at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, a temple official said. He also requested the temple administration to utilise the money for any one of TTD welfare Trusts meant to serve the poor and needy, the official added.

After offering worship at the hill temple on Friday morning, the devotee M Hanumanta Kumar, a chartered accountant in Dubai, handed over the demand draft for Rs one crore to YV Subba Reddy, Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) that governs the ancient shrine, the official said.
