The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) rules are ready and will be published in the next 10 days, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Thursday.
The minister said the rules followed an extensive consultation process.
"The DPDP rules are ready, about to be published in a few days from now," Vaishnaw said, confirming that the rules will be released by September 28.
He was speaking at the AI Impact Summit pre-event.
