DMRC investigates viral 'Ang Laga De' video of Holi celebration inside metro coach

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has initiated an investigation into a viral video showing two women celebrating Holi inside a metro coach. The video depicts the women applying colors to each other's cheeks while a Hindi film song plays in the background. The DMRC has expressed doubts about the video's authenticity, suggesting the possible use of deepfake technology.

In a statement, DMRC said that it is investigating the authenticity of the video. "On first impression, the authenticity of the video shot inside the metro also appears doubtful," the DMRC said in a statement, raising the possibility of deepfake technology being used.



The video shows the women, dressed in traditional attire, engaging in an intimate exchange of colors. The DMRC is also examining the video for potential violations of its policies. In response to the incident, the DMRC reiterated its commitment to discouraging such activities within its network.

"Through numerous campaigns and commuter awareness drives, we have tried to educate passengers about refraining from making reels or engaging in any activity that inconveniences fellow commuters," the statement said.

The DMRC urged passengers to report any such filming immediately. "We also request fellow passengers to inform us immediately if they see such shoots being conducted," it added.
