The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Thursday announced temporary entry and exit restrictions at several Metro stations on January 23 and January 26 due to security arrangements for the Republic Day full-dress rehearsal and the main celebrations.

According to DMRC, there will be no entry or exit from 3 am until the conclusion of the programme at Central Secretariat Metro station (Gates 3 and 4), Udyog Bhawan (Gate 1), Lal Quila (Gates 3 and 4), and Jama Masjid (Gates 3 and 4) on both days.

In addition, Delhi Gate Metro station will remain closed for entry and exit at Gates 1, 4 and 5, while ITO Metro station will have restrictions at Gates 3, 4 and 6 during the same period.

DMRC said the measures are aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of Republic Day events and advised commuters to plan their travel accordingly.

Passengers have also been urged to follow station announcements and updates on official DMRC channels. Services on other sections of the Metro network will operate as scheduled, subject to security requirements.
