Divya Pahuja's murder in Gurugram: CCTV footage shows former model's body being dragged in hotel
Former model Divya Pahuja, previously accused in a gangster's murder, met a tragic end in a Gurugram hotel months after bail. Mumbai Police claimed she orchestrated a trap in 2016, resulting in the staged encounter death of gangster Sandeep Gadoli.

On model Divya Pahuja murder case, DCP Crime Vijay Partap said: "On the evening of 2nd January the police received information about the dead body of a woman in a hotel near the bus stand... On looking at the CCTV footage of the hotel, we found that the dead body had been displaced from the hotel in a BMW car by three people... The owner of the hotel, Abhijit and two of his employees have been arrested."
Divya Pahuja had been arrested seven years earlier in connection with the murder of gangster Sandeep Gadoli at a Mumbai hotel on February 7, 2016. Mumbai Police, who had arrested Pahuja along with her mother and five policemen, claimed that Gadoli fell victim to a trap orchestrated by Pahuja, leading to a staged encounter. The alleged mastermind, Binder Gujjar, a rival gang member, collaborated with some Haryana Police officials to eliminate Gadoli, even though Gujjar was jailed at the time.
The recent incident in Gurgaon follows the Bombay High Court's decision to grant bail to Pahuja in June last year. The Mumbai Police's narrative suggested that Gadoli was enticed into the trap through Pahuja's involvement, leading to his death in the staged encounter.
Divya Pahuja's family background and her life in prison
In 2015, she encountered Gadoli through the hotel owner where she worked, unaware of his criminal background, a Times of India report said, citing her father. Her bail, previously denied multiple times, was granted by the Bombay High Court due to trial delays and her seven-year imprisonment. Divya's release was based on the argument that only one witness out of 171 had been examined in the case.
She had spoken out about her experiences behind bars, claiming mistreatment by prison officials, including punitive tasks like cooking chapatis. Her family shared that she aspired to study law, inspired by her attorney's dedication to presenting her case truthfully.
Tragically, Divya Pahuja's life was cut short at the age of 27 . The police are still verifying these details to unravel the full story behind the death of the former model.
