The Allahabad High Court on Monday directed a Mathura court to dispose of all cases related to the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shah Eidgah dispute within three months.

The HC was hearing a plea filed by a person who called himself a next friend of Lord Krishna, seeking videography of the mosque in Mathura on the lines of one ordered for the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi. The high court did not make any decision on the matter other than issuing the direction to the lower court.

Another application to appoint a commissioner for the exercise will be taken up on Tuesday, the petitioner said.

In May, the HC had ordered courts in Mathura to dispose of cases related to the matter within four months.

Among other cases, a petition filed by five devotees seeking removal of the Idgah mosque adjacent to the Krishna temple complex is also pending.
