NEW DELHI: Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasised the importance of deepening partnership with Singapore from elementary to vocational and higher education in a 'all-round' strategy. He referred to Singapore as India's trusted knowledge partner and addressed ways to expand the connection through three critical pillars: talent, resource, and market.

Pradhan, who is visiting Singapore, met with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his counterpart Chan Chun Sing on Tuesday.

The two discussed opportunities for overseas internship programmes that would allow Indian students to gain practical experience in Singaporean companies, as well as the possibility of twinning schools and universities in India and Singapore, joint research collaboration in areas of mutual interest such as deep tech, medicine, advanced materials, and fostering academic and research collaboration. Collaboration with Singapore's National Institute of Education and NCERT for curriculum development, pedagogy, and capacity-building of teachers was also discussed.
