The Taj Palace hotel in Delhi received a bomb threat via email on Saturday, which was later declared a hoax after nothing suspicious was found, ANI reported, citing Delhi Police.

"After a thorough security check the government authorities have stated that the incident was a hoax. The safety and security of our guests and employees is of paramount importance to us and we continue to remain vigilant," said a spokesperson at Taj Palace, New Delhi.

Earlier, on Friday, panic erupted at the Delhi High Court following a bomb threat email, leading to the evacuation of judges, lawyers, staff, and litigants.

The alert was triggered after the court administration received an email warning of explosions in judges’ chambers and courtrooms around midday. This prompted a thorough search operation by police, fire officials, bomb disposal teams, and dog squads.

The email, sent to the registrar general at approximately 8:39 am, led court staff to inform the judges while proceedings were ongoing. Some judges left their courtrooms around 11:35 am, while others continued until noon before adjourning.

Normal court proceedings resumed at around 2:30 pm after police confirmed the threat was a hoax. Security measures had required the complete evacuation of the building as a precaution.
