Delhi Weather Update: IMD predicts week-long rain, yellow alert issued; IGI Airport shares travel advisory
Delhi experienced moderate to heavy rainfall, providing relief from the heat and painting the skyline grey. The India Meteorological Department forecasts continued rain and thunderstorms with a yellow alert issued for heavy rainfall in Delhi, Hary...

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 26 degrees Celsius. The weather is expected to remain cloudy, with chances of continued rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. The maximum temperature is likely to stay around 35 degrees Celsius.
The IMD forecast indicates that Delhi may experience light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, over the next two days. Intermittent showers are expected to persist until July 27, with the sky remaining mostly overcast for the week.
The ongoing wet spell is due to a cyclonic circulation over western Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Pakistan, coupled with an active monsoon trough stretching from Jammu to the Bay of Bengal. These conditions are helping maintain the rainy weather across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
A yellow alert has been issued by the IMD for Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab, warning of heavy rainfall in the coming days.
SpiceJet also alerted travelers to potential weather-related delays. “Due to bad weather (heavy rain) in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may get affected. Passengers are requested to check their flight status via http://spicejet.com/#status,” the airline posted on X.
