Delhi Water Supply Cut: These places to face 12-hour disruption, check affected areas and timings

The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced that there will be no water supply in certain areas of the national capital for 12 hours on Friday due to maintenance work. According to PTI, the affected areas will include Inder Puri, Maya Puri, Toda Pur Village, Dasghara, C-Block JJR, Naraina Village, Naraina Vihar, Krishi Kunj, Mansarovar Garden, Ramesh Nagar, MES, and the command area of Kirti Nagar Underground Reservoir (UGR), as well as HMP Colony.

Delhi Water Supply Cut on October 23

Separately, South Delhi areas will also experience a water supply disruption from the evening of October 23 until the next morning due to maintenance at Sonia Vihar WTP. Affected areas include Kailash Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, Jal Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand, GK areas, and Vasant Kunj.

The water supply cut on October 25 will occur because of interconnection work on a newly laid loop line near Rajouri Garden Metro Station Pillar No. 415. The water supply will be unavailable or available at low pressure on October 25 from 10 am to 10 pm.


The DJB advised residents in these areas to store enough water in advance and use it carefully. The DJB's statement said, "Due to interconnection work of a newly laid loop line in 800 mm dia Naraina Main near Rajouri Garden Metro Station Pillar No. 415, the water supply in the following areas shall not be available or available at low pressure on October 25 for 12 hours from 10 am to 10 pm."

Water tankers will be available on demand, and residents can contact the DJB helpline or the central control room on Friday. Maintenance work since early September has led to periodic water supply issues in the city.
