Affected areas in Delhi’s outer north district
The DJB's statement indicates that the areas affected include Bawana Village and its neighbouring colonies, Sultanpur Dabas Village, Pooth Khurd Village, Barwala Village, Majra Dabas Village, Chandpur Village, and the areas under Ward 35 (Kanjhawala) and Ward 36 (Rani Khera), along with their adjoining regions.Disruption schedule
The interruption is due to interconnection works on the 1000 mm diameter Bawana water main, which stems from the Bawana Water Treatment Plant (WTP)."Due to interconnection works in 1000 mm dia Bawana water main emanating from Bawana WTP, the water supply will be affected from the morning of October 16 (10 am) to the morning of October (4 am), i.e. 18 hours in the command areas of Bawana area," the statement said.

Residents are urged to store enough water in advance to meet their needs during the outage and are advised to use water judiciously during this period. For assistance, water tankers will be available upon request through the DJB helpline or central control room.Inputs from PTI
