Delhi toyshop owner, who hit IndiGo pilot, was reportedly going for honeymoon in Goa
Sahil Kataria, a 28-year-old who operates a toyshop in Delhi, asserted that his irritation arose from the considerable delay, impacting his intended honeymoon trip to Goa. The departure, initially set for 7.40 am on Sunday, was eventually realized...

"Chalana hai chala, nahi chalana mat chala, khol gate (fly if you want to, otherwise open the door)," Kataria shouted at the pilot before being restrained by another passenger and later handed over to security personnel. Kataria, a 28-year-old individual running a toyshop in Delhi, claimed that his frustration stemmed from the significant delay affecting his plans for a honeymoon in Goa. The flight, scheduled for 7.40 am on Sunday, eventually took off at 6.30 pm.
However, the police contradicted Kataria's claim, stating that he had been married for five months. Despite the conflicting statements, Kataria was released on bail after his arrest.
In response to the incident, IndiGo labeled the passenger as 'unruly' and is contemplating adding him to the no-fly list, which could ban him from flying for up to 30 days. IndiGo issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to passenger and crew safety, stating, "The incident is being referred to the independent internal committee for appropriate action and inclusion of the passenger on the 'no-fly list' as laid down in regulatory guidelines. The safety and security of our passengers and crew are of paramount importance, and we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any such unacceptable behaviour."
This incident occurred amidst a wave of flight disruptions in north India due to dense fog, leading the aviation ministry to implement new rules instructing airlines to cancel flights delayed beyond three hours to mitigate airport chaos.
