Delhi is set to become the first city in the country where FasTag will be used for collecting local tolls from commercial vehicles (CVs).

Municipal bodies in the national capital and the central roads ministry are working to integrate toll tax collections with the electronic toll collection system of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), officials aware of the development said.

This could be a precursor for other places where local taxes are to be paid by commercial vehicles at the entry points, they said.
