Traffic was severely disrupted across parts of the national capital region, especially Delhi and Noida, on Monday as farmers prepared for the 'Delhi Chalo' protest march towards Parliament. Visuals from areas in Delhi-NCR showed long queues of vehicles, with heavy security deployment and police barricades in place.

Traffic jams were observed in Chilla border, DND flyover, and the Kalindi Kunj border among other places

The Noida Police, anticipating traffic disruptions due to the protest, has issued detailed traffic guidelines to mitigate the effects of the march. The farmers are demanding compensation and benefits under agricultural reforms, including a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Organised by the Bhartiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) and supported by other farmer groups from at least 20 districts, the march aims to press for key demands related to agricultural reforms.

Authorities have urged commuters to stay updated on the situation and follow traffic guidelines to avoid delays.
