Delhi reports 6,500 daily cases as positivity rate further drops to 11%; govt to start oxygen concentrator bank

To provide oxygen to Covid patients, Delhi government is also starting oxygen concentrator bank from Saturday.

Delhi reported 6,500 new cases, the lowest since April 10, on Saturday with a positivity rate of 11 per cent, as Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal pointed out that corona's impact has been going down in the national capital.

"In the last 24 hours, 6500 cases have been reported in Delhi, the positivity rate has further gone down to 11%. So Corona's impact is going down in Delhi," said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

"1000 ICU beds have been set up within 15 days, our doctors and engineers have set an example. I thank them," he added.


To provide oxygen to Covid patients, Delhi government is also starting oxygen concentrator bank from Saturday.

We're starting oxygen concentrator bank today. It is essential to provide oxygen to COVID patients, on time and we've started this for such patients, announced Kejriwal.

The CM further said that two-hundred of such banks will be set up in every district and govt will provide the concentrator at doorstep of patients in home isolation, if required.
