National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested another key accused in connection with the Delhi bomb blast.
NIA has arrested another accused in connection with the Delhi Red Fort blast case, taking the total number of arrests by the agency to nine. The accused has been identified as Yasir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Shopian in south Kashmir, who was allegedly in close contact with the main bomber, Dr Umar Un Nabi, as well as Mufti Irfan, also from Shopian, who is currently in custody.

A Delhi court remanded Dar to NIA custody till December 26.

"Investigations have revealed Yasir's active role in the conspiracy behind the car bomb blast that rocked the national capital on 10th November. An active participant in the conspiracy, he had sworn allegiance and taken an oath for carrying out self-sacrificial operations," the NIA said in a statement on Thursday.

Officials said NIA is working closely with central and state agencies and "continues to move with alacrity to unravel the complete conspiracy behind the terror attack". Earlier this month, NIA had conducted searches at the premises of several accused and suspects in J&K and UP and seized various digital devices and other incriminating materials.
