Parts of Delhi face water logging, traffic congestion, following heavy rain.
Rain swept across several parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting more rain for the area throughout the week. Many locations, including India Gate, Janpath Road, R K Puram, Kalindi Kunj, and Gandhinagar, experienced light showers.

The Regional Meteorological Centre in New Delhi posted an update on X, stating, "Light rainfall/drizzle is very likely to occur at many places of Delhi, NCR (Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar) Farukhnagar, Nuh (Haryana) Khairthal, Alwar, Rajgarh (Rajasthan) during next 2 hours."

Delhi Traffic Police reported on X that waterlogging and potholes have disrupted traffic on Road No. 13 from Kalindi Kunj to Okhla Estate Road. They advised, "Traffic is affected on Road No.13 in the carriageway from Kalindi Kunj towards Okhla Estate Road due to waterlogging and potholes on the road. Kindly plan your journey accordingly."

Traffic congestion was also reported on Rohtak Road due to similar issues. Delhi Traffic Police updated, "Traffic is affected on Rohtak Road in the carriageway from Nangloi towards Tikri Border and vice versa due to potholes and waterlogging. Kindly avoid Mundka and take an alternate route accordingly."

Previously, on August 29, heavy rainfall caused significant waterlogging and traffic congestion in the capital. Dhaula Kuan was especially affected, with severe traffic jams making commuting difficult. Visuals showed people wading through waterlogged roads as vehicles struggled to navigate.

The waterlogging in the area significantly slowed down traffic, causing commuters severe inconvenience. Many were seen wading through flooded streets, and vehicles had a hard time crossing the submerged roads.
