The notices issued to 33.14 lakh voters whose names are published in draft rolls are to be disposed of by November 30.
With just three days left before the closing of the claims and objections phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, it said that the remaining notices will be disposed of before the deadline.
The claims and objections phase started with the publication of draft rolls of 70 Assembly constituencies on August 31. The last date for filing claims and objections is October 30.
The notices issued to 33.14 lakh voters whose names are published in draft rolls are to be disposed of by November 30.
At the start of the SIR exercise on June 30, there were 1,45,10,299 voters who were provided enumeration forms. A total of 97,53,577 electors submitted their enumeration forms by August 17, whose names were included in the draft rolls published on August 31.
However, 47,56,722 voters whose forms were not submitted were excluded from the draft rolls, according to the Delhi CEO office.
A total of 33,14,032 electors, out of 97.53 lakh, were identified by the system to whom notices were issued -- these included 13,79,789 cases of no-mapping where electors could not map themselves with electoral rolls of the last SIR held in 2002, and 19,34,243 cases of logical discrepancies.
Special camps were held and Booth Level Officers (BLO) visits were conducted to dispose of the notices. A total of 31,26,576 (94.34 per cent) notices were disposed of and have been parked for inclusion in the final electoral rolls, said the Delhi CEO statement.
The poll officials have collected documents of 18,96,675 (98.05 per cent) cases of logical discrepancies (errors in personal details), it said.
The remaining cases of logical discrepancies will be disposed of by November 30, it said.
The Delhi CEO office is also conducting a special drive for the enrollment of eligible left-out voters through BLOs, who are visiting house to house to identify such people and assist them in their enrollment in the electoral rolls through Form 6.
The poll body reiterated that no names will be deleted without issuance of notice and a fair hearing by the poll officials concerned.
The electoral registration officers (EROs) and Assistant EROs will not delete any entry/name from the draft electoral roll without giving a fair and reasonable opportunity to the person to be heard.
Helpdesks have also been set up at the district and assembly constituency level to assist any person in redressal of their grievances and help them fill Form-6. Such persons may also contact the helpline number 1950 for assistance. PTI
