New Delhi: Delhi Police has solved a burglary at the residence of a DCP in the upscale Kaka Nagar area within 24 hours by arresting a man with the stolen items, including an Apple iPhone 15 Pro, another mobile phone and a diamond ring, officials said on Monday.

Police arrested Imran, alias Sawan, a resident of Taimur Nagar, on August 12 based on technical surveillance and scanning of CCTV camera footage, officials said. According to police, the accused faced six previous criminal cases.

On August 11, the DCP left his residence at 5.30 am for duty and returned around 8 am to find the house ransacked.

The officer reported the incident at the Tughlak Road police station.

Police are now examining Imran's past involvement in criminal cases to ascertain if he was linked to other house thefts in the area.
