Accused Ankit Goyal was caught on CCTV scribbling graffiti inside three metro stations -- Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk and Patel Nagar -- threatening Kejriwal.
The Metro Unit of Delhi Police has registered an FIR and was investigating the matter.
As per ANI report, Goyal is a resident of Baraeli and has no association with any political party. The accused is highly educated and works at a renowned banks.
The police have said that the mental condition of the accused is not good. However, the same can be confirmed only after a medical examination.
AAP alleges BJP agenda
The party made the allegation after graffiti threatening Kejriwal surfaced inside three Delhi Metro stations - Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk and Patel Nagar - on Monday. Its Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh alleged that the conspiracy to attack Kejriwal was hatched inside the Prime Minister's Office.
"BJP has been in a state of panic ever since Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail. BJP is now plotting to launch a deadly attack on Arvind Kejriwal. This conspiracy is being conducted directly from the Prime Minister's Office. A threat of attack on Kejriwalji has been written at Rajiv Chowk and Patel Nagar metro stations," Singh said.
