Humidity levels remained high, oscillating between 87% in the morning and 78% in the evening, adding a slightly sticky feel to the air.
Several weather stations across the city recorded rainfall over the past 24 hours. Safdarjung received 7.6 mm, Palam 13.3 mm, Lodhi Road 3.2 mm, and Ridge 5.2 mm, while Aya Nagar did not record any rain. Between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, light showers continued, with Palam recording the highest at 4.2 mm.
Looking ahead, the IMD has forecast thunderstorms and rain for Saturday. The minimum temperature is expected to hover around 24°C, while the mercury could rise to 34°C during the day.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘satisfactory’ category. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded an AQI of 67 at 4 pm. For reference, an AQI between 0–50 is considered ‘good’, 51–100 ‘satisfactory’, 101–200 ‘moderate’, 201–300 ‘poor’, 301–400 ‘very poor’, and 401–500 ‘severe’.
Residents can expect pleasant but humid conditions over the weekend, with intermittent rain providing some relief from the heat.
