Delhi Metro Yellow line passengers take note: Services will be affected for two days. Here are all the details

In light of ongoing construction activities on a critical stretch of Delhi Metro's Yellow Line Phase-IV, commuters should take note of revised train timings on Sunday and Monday. The affected section, spanning a 490-meter segment between Janakpuri West and R K Ashram, necessitates adjustments to ensure operational safety.

According to DMRC's principal executive director corporate communications, Anuj Dayal, "On Sunday, the last train departure from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will be at 10:45 pm instead of 11 pm, and from Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Samaypur Badli at 9:30 pm instead of 11 pm."

Moreover, "On Monday, the first train from Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram will commence at 7 am instead of 6 am. There will be a temporary suspension of services between Samaypur Badli and Jahangirpuri after 11 pm on Sunday until 7 am on Monday," Dayal explained.


During this period, normal train operations will continue unaffected from Jahangirpuri to Millennium City Centre Gurugram. Passengers are advised to heed announcements at stations and inside trains regarding platform changes and train destinations.

Dayal emphasized, "DMRC prioritizes passenger convenience during challenging engineering tasks, which involve working alongside operational corridors." He further clarified, "Construction activities are meticulously scheduled during late hours, ensuring completion before resumption of regular services the next day."

Given the nature of these construction works, limited night-time shutdowns are essential between Samaypur Badli and Jahangirpuri on the Yellow Line. Similar adjustments may be implemented over subsequent weekends to expedite project completion, aligning with DMRC's commitment to minimizing disruptions during weekdays.

This proactive approach aims to streamline construction activities while maintaining the integrity of Metro services across Delhi-NCR. For further updates, passengers are encouraged to stay informed through official DMRC channels.
