Toll on DME & EPE is set to increase by 5% from Monday. After the revision, four-wheelers or light vehicles will have to pay a toll between Rs 45 and Rs 160, while heavy ones will need to shell out between Rs 40 and Rs 250, depending on the distance covered.
At present, the highway authorities charge a toll of Rs 2.19 per km on the 135 km-long expressway. Traffic between Delhi and Ghaziabad, however, does not need to pay any toll.
Following the revision, toll rates for various vehicles on routes near Meerut have increased. Light vehicles now pay Rs 160 for the 82 km journey from Sarai Kale Khan to Kashipur toll plaza, while minibuses and light commercial vehicles are charged Rs 250.
Between Meerut and Indirapuram, the rates are Rs 110 for light vehicles and Rs 175 for heavy vehicles.
For the Meerut to Dundahera stretch, the toll is Rs 85 for light vehicles and Rs 140 for heavy ones, and from Meerut to Dasna, it is Rs 70 and Rs 115, respectively.
