Delhi MCD fixes ‘Singapur’ in hours after Singapore ambassador's 'spell check first' dig
The High Commissioner of Singapore to India, Simon Wong, pointed out a spelling error in a signboard near the Singapore High Commission in Delhi. The signboard incorrectly spelled Singapore as "Singapur." Mr. Wong posted a picture of the signboard...

His post included a picture of signage, which had wrongly mentioned the spelling of his country as Singapur. "It is always good to spell check first. HC Wong," he said in the caption to his post.
But hours later, it seems that the spelling in the signage has been fixed. "Thank you for the quick fix," Wong said in another post hours later.
However, some netizens pointed that instead of the letter "O", Zero (0) pasted, though they appreciated the quick response of the MCD. "High Commissioner, while one must admire the MCD for its quick response - on Sunday no less - the fact is that the matter has not been fixed. If the photo is a genuine representation of the road signage, it reads with a 0 (zero), not O!," said an user.
"Still seems like a jugaad. That's not an O but a Zero (0) pasted," said another user.
The quick response of MCD earned the praise from nay netizens. "That was the fastest grievance redressal ever. Wish every government department responds with such alacrity," said an user.
The first tweet of High Commissioner of Singapore to India has been viewed over 3 lakh times so far in just hours.
