Delhi govt issues new guidelines for schools to prevent spread of COVID in students
The Delhi government has issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for schools in the national capital in view of the rising COVID-19 cases.

In the recently held meeting of the DDMA, the penalty on not wearing of masks was brought back and it was decided that the schools will not be shut but a more detailed set of SOPs will be released.

The government has released those SOPs for the schools to abide by.

Some of those measures include a quarantine room to be available at schools; teachers asking students about Covid related symptoms in students and their family members among others.

The schools will have to check that physical distancing is being maintained at all times and those entering the premises are screened properly and those displaying symptoms are not allowed inside the campus.

Delhi reported 965 new cases of COVID infection on Thursday, a slight drop from more than 1,000 on Wednesday.
