Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 jolts Nepal
Citizens in Delhi-NCR were surprised by mild tremors as a 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit Bajura, Nepal around 1:45 pm today.

The earthquake struck 69 km from Jumla in Nepal. According to the National Center of Seismology, the depth of the quake was 10 km and occurred at around 1.30 pm.

The quake occurred around Bichhiya of Bajura district at 13:45 (local time), the National Earthquake Monitoring & Research Center (NEMRC), Nepal, said.


Nepal has been witnessing a number of earthquakes in the past few months. Earlier on January 24, a 5.8 magnitude intensity earthquake struck Nepal and caused at least three houses to collapse.

The epicentre of the earthquake was the border area of the Himali Village Council of Bajura and Humla's Tajakot Village Council.

In November last year, the country witnessed a 6.3 magnitude earthquake.
