Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case, commended the ED officials for their conduct at the court premises. Kejriwal, who was arrested from his official residence, expressed appreciation for the respectful behavior of the officials during his arrest. Despite his legal challenges, Kejriwal affirmed his dedication to serving the people and thanked his family and supporters for their unwavering support.

Kejriwal's praise for the officials comes amidst a backdrop of intense scrutiny and legal proceedings. Despite the challenges he faces, Kejriwal remains steadfast in his commitment to governance and acknowledges the support of his family and well-wishers.

While entering the court complex Kejriwal told reporters " My life is dedicated to the country whether I am inside or outside the prison."

Arvind Kejriwal, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday night, becoming the first sitting chief minister to face such an action. On Friday evening, the Rouse Avenue Court has sent Kejriwal to ED custody till March 28.

The ED had sought his custody for ten days, stating the need to confront him with other accused individuals. The agency alleges that Kejriwal and the AAP received kickbacks in exchange for favors, with Kejriwal being described as the "kingpin" and a key conspirator in the alleged scam.

The ED has claimed that the total proceeds of the crime amount to ₹600 crore. According to the agency, the Delhi liquor policy provided a profit margin of 12% for wholesalers and nearly 185% for retailers. Of this margin, six percent was allegedly recovered from wholesalers as kickbacks for AAP leaders. The agency also alleges that a lobby called the South Group gave ₹100 crore in advance to another accused, Vijay Nair, who was linked to the ruling party in Delhi.
