Delhi braces for continued cold spell, flights delayed due to poor visibility

Cold weather persists in the national capital as residents gather around bonfires to stave off the chill. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures are expected to drop to a minimum of 7 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature reaching 25 degrees Celsius.

Flight Delays at Delhi Airport

Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi faced delays in several flights on Sunday due to poor visibility caused by the prevailing weather conditions. In response, the airport has issued an advisory, warning that flights not compliant with CAT III regulations may experience disruptions.


Weather Forecast

The IMD predicts that Delhi will continue to experience a maximum temperature of around 25 degrees Celsius over the next two days. Additionally, the Meteorological Department forecasts light rainfall in Central India from February 10-12 and in East India from February 12-14.

Previous Disruptions

Last week, North India, including Delhi, encountered severe cold and dense fog, leading to significant travel disruptions and inconvenience for passengers. Similar conditions were observed earlier, affecting Delhi and various places in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in delays across multiple modes of transportation.
