Sirsa held a review meeting with senior officials and nodal officers from the environment department, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Public Works Department (PWD) to assess preparedness for dust mitigation measures.
"In a review meeting held today with senior officials and nodal officers from the Environment Department, MCD, and PWD, regarding the deployment of anti-smog guns and water sprinklers, steps were taken towards making Delhi's air clean and better," Sirsa wrote in a post on X.
He further added, "In the meeting, strict instructions were given to the officials to ensure timely and effective deployment of all machines, so that there is effective control over dust and the efforts to reduce pollution gain further momentum."
The Delhi government has been stepping up anti-pollution measures ahead of the winter months, with a focus on controlling road dust, construction-related emissions and other sources of particulate pollution.
