Condolences pour in from across globe
New Delhi: The Taliban regime of Afghanistan on Tuesday condemned the explosion in Delhi, calling the incident tragic and extending condolences to the Indian government and families of those killed and wounded.

A statement issued by the Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that they "express deep sorrow to the bereaved families, as well as to the government and people of India" and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi expressed "deep sorrow" over the deaths caused by the Red Fort blast. Chinese Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, also expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident. Azerbaijan's envoy to India also condoled the blast.


Condolences and condemnation were also issued by the foreign ministry of Egypt and ambassadors of Morocco, Argentina and Bangladesh, among others.

Singapore's high commissioner to India, Simon Wong, on Tuesday condemned the car explosion, describing it as an "act of terror" and extending condolences to the victims and their families. The German ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann, offered heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.

The Ukrainian foreign ministry said, "Ukraine shares the grief of the people and government of India following a tragic explosion in the heart of New Delhi."
