Mahendra Kumar has grown over 20 varieties of shrubs, crops and flowers in this thick patch of green, says an AFP report. He has planted lettuce, tomatoes and millets.

How he grew his garden
It's easy to do this, he says. Kumar first put a mat followed by a thick sack on which he sprinkled some soil. Then he gathered grass from the roadside and seeds from friends. He waters the plants twice a day using a bottle.
