Delhi Assembly gets bomb threat email, turns out hoax

Security agencies were put on high alert Tuesday morning after the Delhi Assembly received a bomb threat via email, which authorities later confirmed to be a hoax, according to PTI.

The email was sent at 8:39 am, prompting immediate security protocols and thorough sweeps of the premises, according to police officials. Sources revealed that Assembly Speaker Bijender Gupta received the threat directly.

Following an extensive search of the complex, security personnel found nothing suspicious and cleared the area.
