Defence, Tech, Economic MoUs signed as India-Germany deepen ties during Merz’s Gujarat visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz held high-level talks in Gujarat, marking Merz’s first visit to India and Asia as Chancellor. The two leaders agreed to elevate India–Germany relations through stronger defence cooperation, expanded technology partnerships, and deeper economic engagement, while also pushing for progress on the India–EU Free Trade Agreement.
