BJP leaders JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh test positive for Covid-19

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP president JP Nadda tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. The senior BJP leaders are currently in home quarantine.

"I have tested positive for Corona today with mild symptoms. I am under home quarantine. I request everyone who have recently come in my contact to isolate themselves and get tested," Singh tweeted.

"I am feeling fine and have isolated myself on the advice of doctors," Nadda said. He underwent the test after having some symptoms for the disease and added that he has been feeling alright.


BJP leader and actor-politician Khushbu Sundar also tested positive for the coronavirus today and is in home isolation.
A total of 1,59,632 new coronavirus infections were reported on Sunday, according to Union Health Ministry data, the highest in 224 days. Active cases increased to 5,90,611, the highest in around 197 days.

Meanwhile, Delhi has reported a rising positivity rate of 23% with 22,751 new cases in 24 hours on Sunday.
