Cyrus Mistry's last rites to take place in Mumbai on today

Last rites of Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Pallonji Mistry (54) will be held at 11 am today, a family member has said.

Mistry, who died in a road mishap on Sunday, will be cremated at the Worli crematorium.

"Mistry's body will be taken to Worli crematorium and will be cremated at 11 am," the family member said.


The accident took place around 3.15 pm on Sunday, when Mistry was travelling in a Mercedes car to Mumbai from Ahmedabad. The accident took place on a bridge over the Surya river.

The business tycoon and his friend Jahangir Pandole died in the mishap. Their bodies have been kept at the mortuary of the JJ Hospital.

Mistry and Pandole were accompanied by Darius Pandole (60), and his doctor-wife Anahita Pandole (55) were injured in the car crash. They are currently under treatment at Mumbai-based Sir H N Reliance Foundation and Research Centre Hospital.
