CV Ananda Bose to take oath as Bengal Governor today

A retired IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, Ananda Bose has served as chief secretary. He was appointed as Governor on November 17 by President Droupadi Murmu.

CV Ananda Bose will take oath as the Governor of West Bengal on Wednesday, almost five months after Jagdeep Dhankhar, the previous governor, was made the country's Vice President.

A retired IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, Ananda Bose has served as chief secretary. He was appointed as Governor on November 17 by President Droupadi Murmu.

He will take charge from La Ganesan, the Governor of Manipur who had been given additional charge of Bengal after Dhankhar vacated the post. Bose started his work life as a probationary officer in the State Bank of India in Kolkata.
