CRPF-CoBRA joint strike eliminates 3 more Naxal leaders with Rs. 1.35 Cr bounty in Jharkhand

In another major success for Jharkhand security forces, three top Naxal leaders were gunned down in a joint operation by CoBRA battalion, Giridih Police, and Hazaribagh Police in Hazaribagh. The slain Naxals include Sahdeo Soren; Central Committee Member who carried Rs. 1 Cr bounty. Three AK-47 rifles have also been recovered from the encounter site. IG Operations Michaelraj S declared that with this encounter, all Naxals in Jhumra, Lugu Pahar (Bokaro), and Parasnath (Giridih) have been eliminated making these areas Naxal-free. Except three more Naxal leaders remain to be neutralised in Saranda forests, no senior formations remains elsewhere in the state.
