COVID JN.1 variant: Delhi reports first case; Karnataka, Maharashtra take new measures

Delhi has reported its first case of COVID-19 sub-variant JN.1, Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said on Wednesday, while urging people not to panic. Karnataka on Wednesday reported 103 fresh Covid-19 cases and one death, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 479. Sparking fresh concerns, Maharashtra reported two Covid-19 deaths and 87 new cases, while 10 persons were diagnosed with the new variant, JN.1, health officials said.
