Covid infection, diabetes and misuse of steroids during treatment responsible for increase in Mucormycosis cases: Randeep Guleria, AIIMS Director
AIIMS chief Dr Randeep Guleria said that chances of fungal infection Mucormycosis increases in the patients who are diabetic, COVID positive & are taking steroids. And to prevent it, we should stop the misuse of steroids and follow protocols of infection control practices at hospitals.
