According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India has reported 24 new cases of coronavirus, marking the lowest daily infection count since the first case was recorded in Kerala in January 2020. The data, updated on Monday at 8 am, indicated that there were 1,431 active cases, while the death toll stood at 5,31,913. The Covid case tally has been recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,94,599).

The ministry's website shows, national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.81 per cent.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease surged to 4,44,61,255 and the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent.


Furthermore the website highlighted that 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
