Among the 27 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours due to COVID-19 in India, six were reported in Delhi, four in Maharashtra, and three in Rajasthan. One death each was reported in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. In addition, the data updated at 8 am also showed that six deaths in Kerala were reconciled in the figure.
The daily positivity rate of COVID-19 infections in India stood at 6.78%, and the weekly positivity rate was 4.49%. The total number of cases reported in the country has reached 4.48 crore (4,48,08,022). As per the Union Health Ministry, active cases constitute 0.12% of the total infections, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.69%. The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 has risen to 4.42 crore (4,42,23,211), while the case fatality rate is at 1.19%.
According to the ministry's website, 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive so far.
