Congress pledges to stand with protesting youth: Sonia Gandhi on Agnipath
Sonia Gandhi termed 'Agnipath' scheme "directionless", says unfortunate that govt has 'ignored' voice of youths. She has also appealed to youths to adopt peaceful, non-violent means to fight for their demands.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi has come out in support of the youth protesting against the Agnipath scheme while urging them to shun violence and adopt peaceful means to resist thh government's new recruitment policy for armed forces.
Gandhi termed 'Agnipath' scheme as "directionless", saying it is unfortunate that the government has 'ignored' the voice of youth.
She is currently undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for a lower respiratory tract infection.
Sonia's statement came just after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Raghav Chadha wrote a letter to Defence minister Rajnath Singh on the roll back of the Agnipath Recruitment scheme launched on June 14.
