With the help of the website, the cell will also make migrant Uttarakhandis aware about the state government’s policies, programme, and its activities.
The state government has decided to invite migrant Uttarakhandis on the proposed “Pravasi Uttarakhand Diwas” on November 7 at a function to be organized by it in Dehradun. While launching the website, CM Dhami said everyone has his or her own connection with the motherland. He further added his government’s effort is to seek cooperation from migrant Uttarakhandis and extend all help to them to get connected with their native place.
He also said that migrant Uttarakhandis have got their own recognition based on their works not only in different parts of the country, but also in foreign countries. He underlined the need for the state’s direct link with the migrant Uttarakhandis. He also added that his government is undertaking its all-best efforts to share happiness and sorrow with them.
The CM directed the officials concerned to organize a function in which migrant Uttarakhandis living abroad would be invited. He also asked the officials concerned to keep updated the database of migrant Uttarakhandis. He further added a grand welcome is given by migrant Uttarakhandis to the state’s people who visit different countries where the former live. This clearly shows the love and respect migrant Uttarakhandis possess for their motherland, CM Dhami mentioned.
The Pravasi Uttarakhand Cell aims to connect with migrant Uttarakhandis, take advantage of their expertise and experience, besides getting benefits of their financial capabilities. The Cell, which started functioning recently, is now tracing the migrant Uttarakhandis residing in different countries and India’s different states. CM Dhami said around migrant Uttarakhandis, who are living in 18 countries, have been contacted.
