"In essence, India's position remained the same; Pakistan's position changed on 10th May morning after its airbases were effectively put out of action," said the Ministry of External Affairs' Spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal.
MEA further said that all one has to do is see who called whom with offer of cessation of firing.
"All you have to do is to look at who called who to negotiate the terms of the cessation of firing. You all know that satellite pictures are available commercially," Jaiswal added.

Moreover, MEA brought to attention the fact that while Indian armed forces have provided satellite evidence of the destruction caused in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir-based terror infrastructures, Pakistan has failed to provide any evidence to back its claims.
According to Jaiswal, claiming victory is an old habit of Pakistan. Mentioning the aftermath of the previous wars between India and Pakistan, in 1971, 1975 and 1999, he said that despite facing defeat, Pakistan keep claiming otherwise.

"Claiming victory is an old habit for Pakistan. They did the same in 1971 and 1999 Kargil War. Dhol bajane ka Pakistan ka purana ravaiyya hai. Parast ho jaye lekin dhol bajao," Jaiswal said.
