As Delhi Police denied permission for the Jantar Mantar protests, he said, "Jantar Mantar is a designated site to protest, police permission not needed."
He reiterated that the organisation would hold a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on October 10, despite not receiving permission from Delhi Police. the CJP leader asserted that the protest would go ahead regardless of whether police permission was granted and said activists were prepared to face arrest.

Adding to Dipke's comments, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee hi out at the Centre saying, "Why are you so scared Modi? Your IT cell told us that hardly anyone will come to our protest, so why all these measures?"
Delhi trains cancelled/delayed amid protests
Dipke's statement came soon after Indian Railways announced that all Mail/Express trains originating from their source stations after 14:00 hrs on 9th October 2026 and scheduled to arrive at New Delhi Railway Station or Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station between 04:00 hrs and 14:00 hrs on 10th October 2026 will be cancelled at source.Western Railways rescheduled two Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express trains departing from Mumbai and cancelled an express service.
The Indian Railways authority has rescheduled the Mumbai Central-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (12951) and the Mumbai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express (12953) by five hours and cancelled the Bandra Terminus-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (12247).
Apart from this, the WR has also cancelled Dr Ambedkar Nagar-New Delhi Express (20155), Indore-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (09309), the Indore-New Delhi Express (12415) and Sabarmati-New Delhi Express (12957), it said.
Additionally, the Divisional Railway Manager of Danapur revealed that Magadh Express, Rajendra Nagar Terminal–New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express, Sampoorna Kranti Express and Rajendra Nagar Terminal–New Delhi Amrit Bharat Express will be cancelled under the latest move.
Eastern Railways also announced cancellation of Rajdhani Express services from Howrah and Sealdah for Friday.
Northern Railways released a list of trains impacted by the latest order.
Delhi Metro Shut: Police urges closure of select DMRC stations
Delhi Police asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to reduce train frequency and close entry and exit gates at 57 metro stations from 9 pm on October 9 until the situation normalises on October 10.The Police cited proposed protests at Jantar Mantar and other locations and the possibility of unruly crowds moving towards sensitive areas for closure of Delhi metro stations.
The stations include major commute hotspots such as Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, New Delhi, Kashmere Gate, Mandi House, ITO, Patel Chowk and Supreme Court, among others.
The advisory also covers stations across multiple metro lines, including Hauz Khas, Lajpat Nagar, Jamia Millia Islamia and Sarai Kale Khan–Nizamuddin. The restrictions will remain in place until the situation normalises, according to the police letter dated October 8.
