A three-member bench headed by CJI Surya Kant took note of the issue after senior advocate Biswajeet Bhattacharya mentioned the matter before the court.
Bhattacharya told the bench that an executive magistrate in Greater Noida issued a notice to the student based on inputs from the Noida Police despite the Supreme Court's September 1 order quashing the criminal proceedings arising from the protests.
