CJP to continue protest today; Abhijeet Dipke says govt willing to 'spill' students' blood to 'protect' Pradhan

Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke on Tuesday said that the government was willing to spill the blood of young students to protect Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan who was allegedly responsible for the deaths of more than 20 students who committed suicide over the NEET paper leak row.

Dipke, along with other protestors, continued sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday. Alongside CJP chief, Aazad Samaj Party - Kanshi Ram chief and MP Chandra Shekhar Aazad sat for protest at the Parliament premises over paper leak matter, Police action during yesterday's CJP protest march, with a demand for Pradhan's resignation.

Speaking about the alleged violence that took place during CJP's 'Sansad Chalo' march on Monday, Dipke said, "To protect one Dharmendra Pradhan, who is responsible for the deaths of more than 20 students, the Govt was willing to spill the blood of many more young students."

He apologised to all the supporters, "especially the girls who were brutally beaten by male police officers."

"We could have done better. I could have done better to protect you from the inhumane actions of the Delhi Police. If you were injured and see this, please DM me. I want to speak to you personally and apologise. We will keep fighting for all of you," the CJP founder said in a post on X.

Delhi Police files complaint over alleged violence, vandalism of vehicles

Delhi Police has lodged an FIR against unidentified persons in connection with the violence, stone-pelting and vandalism of police vehicles during protest near Regal Cinema at the Connaught Place area a day ago, according to PTI sources.

During the unrest at the Outer Circle of Connaught Place, CJP protesters allegedly attacked police personnel by pelting stones and damaging several police vehicles.

According to a police source, Police is making efforts to identify those involved using CCTV footage, video recordings and other electronic evidence.

Authorities have heightened security in several parts of the national capital in view of the protest by the CJP and farmers' groups, with heavy deployment of police and paramilitary personnel at sensitive locations.

'Youths beaten up, heads cracked open'

On alleged violence during protest march on Monday, CJP National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said that the police used lathis, youth was beaten up and their heads cracked open.

"It was just the Police who used lathis. Our youths were beaten up, their heads cracked open, they were dragged on streets. Sonam sir's wife Gitanjali ma'am's hair was pulled in order to drag her out of truck...Ribs of one of our volunteers was shattered," he told ANI.

"We had never expected or seen such brutality. Delhi Police crossed all limits yesterday. Clearly, they were given instructions to beat up people," he added.

The CJP leader added that the violence will further expand the protest and more number of people will come to Delhi to raise their voices as protestors "will not move from here until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns."

Chief Spokesperson, Cockroach Janta Party made similar allegations on Monday, which was later dismissed by Delhi Police as 'false information'.

In a statement, the Police said, "False information is being currently circulated on social media regarding the posts claim that an individual named Geetanjali, a 12-year-old girl was assaulted, had her hair pulled, sustained a head injury, and approximately 40 to 50 other individuals suffered broken heads."

"This information is false. The claims being circulated in the posts are not true. Please do not spread or amplify false or misleading information," it said.
